Pictured above is one of Ocracoke's fine sunrises that is often witnessed by the lucky ones. I was fishing with a couple of my friends this morning and actually was lucky enough to not only enjoy the sunrise but to catch a citation striper as well. What a blast! The past couple of days have been on the slow side but a few citations have been written. Al Hamrick from Raleigh, NC caught and released a 43" red drum; Steve Duggins from Winston-Salem, NC caught and released a 46" striper and Dean Howell fom Randleman, NC caught and released a 43" red drum. The fish are out there with only a handful of fishermen trying.
