This could weather is kicking things into high gear for some. Quite a few bluefish around and some pompano, sea mullet, spot, croaker, flounder and puppy drum up to the big reds. We also heard of a school of spanish mackerel that made their way into the surf in casting distance yesterday afternoon. Just before dark seems to be the magical time right now for the drum. Then sound fishing by boat is still producing some large spot, speckled trout, gray trout, flounder and drum. We have a new derby leader for largest speckled trout.
