Bob Searle & Rob Hammond were making the best out of fishing yesterday by fishing in Silver Lake. They managed to catch some nice flounder and were catching them today as well. Meanwhile, the hardcore fishermen braved the winds (and tides) today and so far have managed to catch puppy drum and larger ones up to 34-1/2 inches. Also, flounder and bluefish. All of these have been from both ends of the island. Some of you already know but we have almost 5 more extra miles opened up to us to fish now. About 4 miles were opened just north of Ramp 67 which almost reaches the Pony Pen area and about 1 mile south of our north end Ramp 59. This additional beach opened up to 4WD will be seasonal from September 15th through May 14th. Quite a bonus and can't wait to hear of some new fishing spots.
