Friday and Saturday's fishing was fun for those fishing the right place at the right time. Bluefish appeared Friday in what was called a blitz. We had people tell us they were worn out by catching them on lures and bait. There were also some puppy drum, black drum, sea mullet, croaker and flounder caught as well. Another 48" drum was caught and released by Jason Flora from Richmond, VA. We're expecting we'll hear of a lot more drum caught last night because the conditions were setting up nicely and plenty of guys out there to give it a go. We'll keep everyone posted.

After posting this we found out there were at least 30 red drum caught and released from the south end of the island.
