Date: 11/17/2003 Time: 07:12 PM Bulletin: 45 RESTRICTED ACCESS TO HATTERAS VILLAGE TO BEGIN TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 18 AT 6:00 P.M. Restricted access to Hatteras Village via Highway 12 will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 18. Repairs to Highway 12 between Frisco and Hatteras Village will be completed by late Tuesday. When Highway 12 reopens on Tuesday evening, access will be limited to Hatteras Village residents, non-resident property owners, service vehicles, service personnel/companies, and contractors. Proper credentials must be shown at the checkpoint on Highway 12 in Frisco – proper credentials include re-entry permits, a valid NC driver’s license with a Hatteras Village address, or a recent tax receipt showing proof of ownership. Contractors and service personnel/companies must be able to provide a point of contact in Hatteras Village. Ocracoke Island residents, non-resident property owners, service vehicles, service personnel/companies, and contractors with proper identification will be allowed access to Ocracoke Island via Hatteras Village beginning Tuesday, November 18 at 6:00 p.m. Unrestricted access to Hatteras Village will begin at 12 noon on Saturday, November 22. For updated ferry information, call 1-800-BY-FERRY. There are streets in Hatteras Village that will remain restricted to property owners only due to damage, sand and heavy equipment in roadways. Those entering the village are asked to be mindful of barricades that are in place. The boats providing shuttle service between Scotch Bonnett/Frisco Cove Marina in Frisco and Oden’s Dock in Hatteras Village will no longer be available beginning Wednesday, November 19. Rating: |
