Not so good fishing:

Sunday morning started out with spanish mackerel and bluefish biting on the back side of south point. It's been pretty consistent for the past month that we've been able to catch them early morning and late evening. We also had some wonderful reports of red drum being caught at the south point the past few nights as well. Most of them have been yearlings but a few fell in the slot limit allowing one per person between 18 and 27 inches. The bite seemed to be starting around 9:30 p.m. each night. Then during the day, we've had great catches of pompano. So far this has been the largest number of pompano I can remember. Spot, croaker, sea mullet, black drum and flounder have rounded out the catching.

Sound fishing produced bluefish, flounder, gray trout, speckled trout, spanish mackerel, some black drum and puppy drum.

No offshore reports for Sunday.

Have a great day and keep fishing!
