We can definately say that pompano fishing has been the hot topic the past few days in the citation range. The Stewart's, Hoagan's and Marley's for one have been part of the lucky (skilled) angler's who have done so well. The next best thing has been spanish mackerel and bluefish taken on lures early morning and late evening. The rain hasn't seemed to discourage the catch except when there's lightning but the day is shaping up today and we're already hearing of good numbers of fish being caught off the south end of the island. Also reported, sea mullet, croaker, black drum and spot.

It's too windy for boat fishing today but I'm sure someone is giving it a try. We'll report what we hear.
