Jennifer and Russel each caught citation size cobia yesterday while fishing near the sea buoy. Russel Williams is now the new Derby Board Leader for cobia. Way to go guys! Also Captain Wayne Belch reported good catches of spanish mackerel, gray trout, spot and sea mullet while fishing the sound.

From the surf yesterday and first reports of today. Dickie Vinent from Fayetteville, NC caught and released a citation 45" red drum at 9:30 last night at the south end of the island. Today he and his son, Daniel Vinent have already caught two puppy drum up to 6 lbs. Mary Dean came in this morning with her 2-1/2 lb. spanish mackerel that she caught on a pink and white stingsilver this morning. Lot's of bluefish taken as well. Sounds like a great start to the day.
