This is a picture taken of a sunset on the backside of South Point facing Portsmouth Island. Hope you enjoy!

Bob and I are once again away from the island but I called our friend Tom Atherton to get this fishing report. Actually, the minute I got on the Cedar Island Ferry and saw the beautiful calm water I knew I would be hearing a good fishing report. There were not only puppy drum but a few stripers caught as well. Tom Atherton happened to be one of the anglers who caught and released several puppies and a 36" striper while fishing his light tackle and 3/4 oz. hopkins. What a fun way to catch a fish! Also, Steve Parker from Highpoint, NC caught a 31" striper.
