The surf fishing today was great! The morning started off with Nick Beckas from Pittsburgh, PA, landing a 37-1/2" striper off the south end of the island. Mary Dean was fishing just yards away and was catching puppy drum and black drum. Bob Featenby from Morehead City, NC had also caught a 24" puppy drum. I had the pleasure of taking my brothers fishing and we caught puppy drum, sea mullet, puffers and pompano. Others were catching bluefish, speckled trout, flounder and of course we all had to catch our share of skates, rays and sharks. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day to fish.
