Bob and Nancy are still up the beach fishing the Big Hatteras Tournament. Their respective teams are within 5 points of each other, so the battle has been joined.

Today was one of those rare fishing days when it seems the fish were everywhere and most anglers had excellent success. Murky water kept the False Albacore at bay, but it seemed to be the only species that didn't make it to the beach. From the campground to the beached buoy at southpoint, the entire stretch produced puppy drum, black drum, blues and trout. The vast majority seemed to be black drum and 17" puppies, but there was plenty of action to keep everyone busy. Grey trout and specs with a few sea mullet added to the mix. We also heard reports of some nice drum caught early morning around the inlet side of Southpoint right at high tide.
Our high pressure system and lots of sunshine should produce more of the same today..and maybe the Albies will show.
