Fishing from the surf Tuesday was a little better. We did get reports of pompano, spot, croaker, sea mullet, flounder and spanish mackerel. The spanish were hitting early morning and late evening.
Sound fishing produced cobia, flounder, gray trout, at least one speckled trout and spanish mackerel. Tom Atherton caught a citation 4 lb. 2 oz. speckled trout and Brenda Waters from Taylorsville, NC caught a 21 lb. cobia while flounder fishing. Ya never know!
Offshore report from the Ocracoke Fishing Center was lots of dolphin, wahoo, cobia, grouper, snapper and amberjacks.
