Not so good fishing:
We're down to summertime fishing now. Some angler's are having a great time catching an assortment of fish. Spot, croaker, sea mullet, flounder, spadefish, gray trout, bluefish, puppy drum and some spanish mackerel. That is what's available but the key is to be at the right place at the right time. It's called fishing. Jim Taggert from Charlottesville, VA caught a 27" puppy drum. Max Myers from Columbus, OH caught a 4 lb. 2 oz. spadefish. Mark Austin from Charlotte, NC came in with a 1 lb. 3 oz. sea mullet.
Sound fishing has mostly been producing spanish mackerel the past couple days and second is flounder. Sean Hanley from Charlotte, NC was fishing with Captain Wayne Belch and caught a 4 lb. 2 oz. spanish mackerel which puts him in the lead on our annual fishing derby.
Offshore for our Ocracoke fleet has been producing lots of dolphin up to 40 lbs., some yellowfin and wahoo. Wreck fishing for Bob and myself produced vermillion snappers, black sea bass, triggerfish and huge pinfish.
That's all for now. Have a great day and keep fishing!
