The big drum were still here yesterday and last night. Some were caught at the north end of the island as well as the south end. James Buck from Washington, NC caught and released a 42" red drum as well as several large bluefish in the 9 to 10 lb. territory. Victor D'Amato from Raleigh, NC caught and released a 47" red drum and also caught bluefish and sea mullet. Dave Swenson from Severn, MD fished the north end and caught a 48" & 32" red drum and a 34" bluefish. Mike Coleman from VA caught a 43, 46 and 49" red drum. Our Bob caught a 39" red drum and I came in with the small keeper size 21" puppy drum. Mike Farrar from Columbia, SC caught a 32" bluefish and a 32" red drum. Ted Johnson from Polton, NC caught 27" drum. Gene Mack from Gastonia caught a 27" drum. Other than drum, bluefish, sea mullet, flounder and cownose rays were caught so far today.
