Fishing Report ArchiveRating System:Good fishing: Not so good fishing: Surf fishing still producing lots of bluefish especially during the early morning and late evenings. What's interesting is that we're starting to see a gradual increase on finger mullet. This helps bring our larger variety of fish so we're keeping our fingers crossed that the weather will continue to cooperate. Over the past few days we've had a few catches worth mentioning. James Highsmith from New Bern, NC caught a citation 2 1/2 lb. pompano. Dale Gillis from Charlotte, NC caught a 7 lb. puppy drum...Other than these, there were spot, croaker, sea mullet and flounder. Sound fishing for Jennifer Esham from Ocracoke was great. She caught a citation 5 lb. speckled trout. Britton Stewart, 10 year old daughter of Terry & Robin Stewart, owners of TW's Bait and Tackle caught and released her very first 35" red drum. Way to go! Also we had flounder, gray trout and bluefish. No offshore report. That's it for now...Have a great day and keep fishing! Rating: |
