Fishing is good for bluefish, sea mullet, flounder, croaker, pompano, sheepshead and spanish mackerel.
Dusty Hargett from Charlotte, NC caught and released a citation 47" red drum this morning around 4:00 a.m. on the south end of the island. Also from the surf and south end of the island, Kevin & Wendy Lewis from Covesville, VA each caught a 10 lb. citation size sheephead.
Sound fishing - cobia, spanish mackerel, bluefish, trout, hogfish, pinfish and flounder.
Wreck fishing - Wrote up several citations for amberjack while fishing on the Charter Boat "Miss Kathleen"...William Tucker, III from Charlotte, NC caught and released a 40 and 40 1/2" amberjack. William Brown, Jr. from Greenville, NC caught and released a 50 and 49 1/2" amberjack. William Tucker, IV from Charlotte, NC caught a 42 and 40" amberjack. Matthew Tucker from Charlotte, NC caught a 40" amberjack. Mitchell Brown, Greenville, NC caught a 40, 41 and 43" amberjack.
Paul Hunt from Hampton, VA caught a citation 4 lb. 8 oz. black sea bass while fishing on Charter Boat "Rascal"...Way to go guys!
Offshore - Wahoo, dolphin and tuna.
